右の挿絵には、南蠻(なんばん）、東夷（とうい／えぞ）、呂宋（りょそう）が描かれています。
南蠻について本文には次のように書かれています。『南蠻は阿媽港人（あまこうじん：中国のカント省のマカオのこと）である。阿蘭陀（オランダ）と同じであり、南の島国を「なんばん」という。多くの物品を持ち人種も様々。西の「えびす（外国人の事）」を西戎（せいじゅう）という。』
東夷について本文には次のように書かれています。『東夷は蝦夷人を指す。住む人々は勇猛で常に山野で獣を狩り、海中の魚を捕って食べている。中国より東にある島国を総じて東夷といい、西の島国を西戎といい、南にいるなら南蠻といい、北にいるなら北狄（ほくてき）という。』
呂宋について本文には次のように書かれています。『呂宋はルソン（フィリピンのルソン島）として中国に近い国である。器を作り絹を商っている。』
左には足の長い人々が描かれていて、本文には次のように書かれています。『長脚（ちょうきゃく）は脚が長い国である。獣のように速く走ることができる』
