The stage of a battle of Genji and the Heike family, Mt. Hachibuse and the Ninotani, and the Sannotani are drawn.
In the Ninotani, and a little its left, the Sannotani and an it top are the central right Mt. Hachibuse.
In this way, if it sees by a pictorial map, it will become sensitive about the situation of a spot which is hard to be transmitted only by means of language.
There is “Atumori stone tower” in the center and a thing like vestiges is also felt.
It is the left end of the collaboration which continues from No. 4 of the bottom volume of the Settsu famous-place picture collection.
源氏と平氏の戦いの舞台、鉢伏山や二の谷、三の谷が描かれています。中央右が二の谷、そのやや左が三の谷、その上が鉢伏山。こうして絵図でみると、言葉だけでは伝わりづらい、現地の状況を感じやすくなります。中央には「敦盛石塔」があり、名残のようなものも感じられます。
摂津名所図会下巻の４から続く連作の左末端です。街道の最後を飾るにふさわしい挿絵でしょう。
