多くの馬が描かれています。多少実験的な様子が見え、絵作りが定まっていないように思えます。ですが、走る姿のみならず、後ろ姿や川を泳ぐ姿など、多様な馬の姿をみることができます。モノトーンの中にも黒毛と白毛の馬をしっかりかき分けるなど、色の表現は素晴らしいと思います。
